Folding Knives

Saw the new Swiss Army Soldier. I like.
It has lost the traditional rectangle with semi-circular ends shape, and now sports this more ergonomic (looks like to me) handle thing.
However, I doubt that it is available here yet. It is supposed to be available from 'Spring 2009',
but of course it will take a few months to ship here.

Thus I tried to find out what they currently have in the country. Another brand I found was SOG, which is sold at Sheares somewhere along Selegie Road. If you take a look at their catalogue, you can see that the blades are pretty darn strong, they fired a bullet at the edge and the bullet got sliced in half!

I particularly like the Trident Tanto & Vulcan Tanto.
(Unfortunately, there is no anti-corrosion TiNi black coating on the Vulcan whose specs I like better)(And the Trident for the little slot that for cutting without having to open up the blade.)

Tanto tipped because it looks thicker (thus stronger).
and also because of the slot in the handle that allows for seatbelt/rope/cord cutting.
(Btw, This one is also quite cute)

However, I think that I'd just stick to the SAK for now, because I probably won't have any good reason for owning a SOG-TT, and it seems a lot pricier than the SAK.
Also, the SAK can open bottles !

Beyond the knifey stuff, yesterday I blacked out for a while.
Consequence of doing physical activity without having breakfast or lunch, and forgetting to breathe properly. And eating only a piece of chocolate and 2 curry puffs for the whole day.
That is real idiotic. I can't help but laugh at myself.
