Now I know whose plant drawings I've been
subconsciously trying to imitate since primary
school, but never quite getting it. Now I also
know why that style is of drawing is so familiar.
Another type of art I like is the polynesian style.
Think Maori tattoos. Though I wouldn't get myself
a tattoo, I still like the lines and swirls of gradually
thickening or thinning polynesian tattoos. I'd like
to print a T-shirt with them on it.
The last (but not least) style of art I like are the
works of Xu BeiHong.
Why ? I like the idea of wild stampeding horses
dashing freely through the plain, and also, I
think his other paintings look really realistic.
Actually there's more, like the carvings on chinese furniture,
and the architecture of quite a lot of buildings, but I think
they are too general to list,
I guess I'll need a lot of practice, maybe, I'll have
to try to stop my single-frame comic cartoon style,
I guess my current style is pretty easy to do, because any
mechanical pencil will do. But then again it take years of
dedication to do these things.
I think I'm done choosing my hobbies/ interests,
1. Martial Arts (Judo, Jiu-Jitsu, Chen Taiji)
2. Art (More than just my mechanical pencil)
And maybe a pinch of faith won't hurt.
