This was supposed to be out on Sunday, but half way through, I just packed up and went off.
It's Sunday, and guess what ? I'm on campus. Darn.
Reason: To upload the photography assignment due today, 5pm.
So here's what happened, I took a bus to school, on the bus I read the Spin Asia magazine.
(I bought it at NP's cheers yesterday, by the way)
So I started reading the thing, soon I come across an article about the Kent Ridge MTB Trail, and in the last paragraph of the article, they mention "race held by Dirtraction on 31st August".
I realized I'm looking at a month old magazine, and feel kind of cheated.
So next, I try to console myself, I flip back to the cover, and scrutinize it for a date.
There wasn't a visible one. Thus I conclude, the cheers staff probably didn't know it was an old mag either.
But I still feel cheated of $2.
Enough of that. Yesterday, I waited for 12 noon, Alvin declared he was tired and didn't cycle.
Not exactly a bad thing, so I did most of the photography assignment. Not that I care to upload and show it. After the cycling , etc. I got back, and went for a walk. Why ? A question popped up in my head while cycling: Why do they plant various kinds of palm trees along the road sides instead of banana trees.
Banana trees yield edible fruit (although only once), their leaves provide more shade, have a brighter green, their leaves can be used to pack food (nasi lemak & hokkien mee) and best of all, you can use them like heavy bags. Palm trees can't do any of those, and no one harvests the fruit from the roadside anyway
So I went for a walk.
Banana trees don't grow to be as tall as palm trees, and their leaf sections grow old and drop off after a while, and result in quite a mess.
But heck, I still prefer banana trees.
Whatever I intended to post here, I've already forgotten now.
All the best for your last paper today LJL.
